In a remarkable collaboration, luxury automaker Genesis and tech giant Samsung have come together to revolutionize the electric vehicle landscape. The GV90 Electric SUV, an eagerly awaited addition to the Genesis lineup, is set to redefine the concept of eco-friendly luxury on wheels.

The GV90, Genesis’ largest EV to date, is being developed as a new flagship GV90 Electric SUV. In an unusual partnership between Hyundai Motor Group and Samsung, the GV90 will include cutting-edge technology and software.

The Genesis GV90 will be the brand’s largest SUV and its flagship electrified car.

The GV90 Electric SUV is one of Hyundai’s next-generation models, which includes a new specialized platform, batteries, and manufacturing capabilities as part of the company’s KRW 109.4 trillion ($85 billion) investment over the next decade.

Hyundai’s current electric cars, including the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60, are built on the E-GMP platform.

Following the announcement of the new investment, Hyundai Motor Group CEO Jae Hoon Chang stated that the company’s new Integrated Modular Architecture (IMA) would eventually replace the E-GMP vehicles.

According to Chang, the new IMA platform is intended to encompass more than simply mid-size SUVs, allowing for a “significant advancement” over the E-GMP:

It includes practically all vehicle classes, from small and big SUVs to pickup trucks, as well as the Genesis brand’s flagship models.

According to a report from South Korea’s ET News last month, Hyundai was nearing completion of the platform’s development, which included a large 113.2 kWh battery pack.

According to reports, this would be one of the greatest capacities for mass-produced passenger EVs. The Mercedes-Benz EQS presently boasts the biggest battery capacity at 107.8 kWh, with the Tesla Model S (100 kWh) and Kia EV9 (99.8 kWh) not far behind. This would imply a range of over 500 miles (800 kilometers). That is not all.

In an uncommon collaboration, the Genesis GV90 will use Samsung technology.

Hyundai created a strong collaboration with other South Korean industry titans, including Samsung, SK, and LG, last month to expand EV sales in the area.

The GV90, according to South Korean Car Blog, will use Samsung Electronics’ “Exynos Auto V920” chip. With advanced driver-aid technologies, a digital cockpit, and functional safety features, the powerful processor creates an immersive driving experience.

As a result, the Genesis GV90 will include the most recent infotainment system, which will include video streaming services, games, and other features.

The Exynos Auto V920 has ten CPUs, which boosts performance by 70% over prior models. NPU performance (an important aspect of employing AI) has been improved by 270% with the newest processor unit.

Hyundai is making huge moves as the industry transitions to electric vehicles, and it’s working out so far. In 2030, the manufacturer hopes to achieve over 10% profitability with its next-generation EVs with expanded production capacity.

According to Hyundai, the new EV platform would enable maximum cost reduction through economies of scale. For more flexibility and efficiency, the organization intends to share over 80 common modules across multiple segments.

The Genesis GV90 Electric SUV will usher in a new era for the brand as it strives to become one of the top three EV manufacturers by the end of the decade.
